Tour Information
Join us for a 'light' hearted excursion blending history, the beauty of the Bay, and some wonderful photo opportunities.  If you've got an itch to get out on the water, come with us and we'll show you the lights and sights of the middle Chesapeake.  Your excursion starts at the pier where you'll board the 'Chesapeake Charm'; our all fiberglass, 40' Robbins. Twin Cummin engines cruise you along as you relax in the air-conditioned cabin or sit back on the deck enjoying the breeze.
From the pier it's a short, pleasant run, past the Circle C oyster ranch, through the mouth of the creek, to Point No Point Lighthouse. Constructed in 1905, automated in 1938, this light is still an active navigation aid. The last keepers were CoastGuardsmen who were well known for their cooking abilities.
After an afternoon at Smith Island we'll return across the Bay to view Point Lookout Lighthouse from the river. First lit in 1830,  the Point Lookout Light Station is now no longer manned. This lighthouse is located on the mouth of the Potomac River on the southern tip peninsula know as Point Lookout.  The lighthouse sits on approximately five acres and is currently closed to the public as it undergoes renovation.
After rounding Point No Point Lighthouse we'll cross the Bay to Smith Island. Here you can spend a few hours enjoying Maryland's only inhabited off-shore island in the Chesapeake Bay.  Smith Islanders are direct descendants of British colonists who first settled the island in the early 1700's.
